Mayhem is a very sensory oriented child. One of her favourite things to do is to climb on the furniture, jump off and land on her knees. My knees hurt just thinking about it. I found an idea over at the Happy Hooligan’s blog, and decided to try it out myself.
Here are the results.
I had to do it as 2 batches. I didn’t realize I didn’t have red colouring when I started.
Here is the second batch (after getting the red food colouring).
The Final Product. Finally, something that turned out as good as I hoped.
The Tester at Work. I hid some little odds and ends in the rice as treasure. She buries them, then digs them back up.
She is loving it.
